First sketch M44

I stayed aup last night just a bit longer imaging and thought I'd try sketching something. So i decided M44. It may not be the best, or most detailed, but we all gotta start somewhere.

Absolutely, you're one up on me. I keep meaning to try sketching, and open clusters seem like a great place to start. So well done :-)

You picked a tricky one for your first sketch as there are just so many stars in M44 but you did a great job, what are you going to try next?

Well, i know i didnt capture a lot of stars, but its the best i can do for only a few minutes with a small scope. I dont know what i would like to sktech next actually, what would you recommend?

Just observe as you normally do until you come across an object that you think you can manage.

For me big open clusters like M44 are the hardest objects just because there are so many stars.

Hi great first go stick at it it's a steep learning curve as with every thing else astro ,looking forward to,more of your drawings
