more DSOs via LodestarLive

These continuing clear nights [typically session 10pm to midnight] are taking their toll but here goes with a few more images over the last two nights via 30cm SCT~@ f/3.4 + Lodestar-Mx2 + LodestarLive capture - data on the images.

Last two nights did......in UMa

Comet Panstarr C/2012 K1 near end of Big Dipper/Plough 'handle' - could even see it via the e-finder as a tiny smudge!

M97 PN

Hickson 50 gx group [east of M97] @1.8 BLY distance - even the orientation is hinted at in the enlargement [top] compare to Wikisky [bottom]

M109  - fine gx

M101 [Pinwheel] with negative version annotated with HII regions from two reference - one by Paul Hodge's paper quotes >1200 HII in M101!

Very impressive! Here's a quick-and-dirty Panstarrs in 15s at the end of a 3 hour session last night (ended only by lack of laptop battery). Tracking in alt-az close to zenith didn't really allow a longer exposure. I prefer yours though...

Superb images - the more of the X2 I see the more I appreciate how effective it is on the faint stuff. I am really looking forward to seeing what it can show combined with live stacking.

I also didn't realise PanSTARRS was still visible, I have added this to my hit list next time I can get out - I was hoping for some action tonight but the weather has been miserable! Still, its not all doom and gloom as we get to see the results of yours and Martins great sessions!

Thanks Paul. I believe Panstarrs is the instrument used to detect these comets so this is a different one. In fact, on SkySafari there are about 30 Panstarrs comets listed currently... maybe worth imaging a few!
