imaging Mars question??

Hi all:

I am using a 9.25 sct and dbk21.  I am wondering what would be the maximum barlow stacking for Mars in reasonable seeing conditions...4x....or...?

On something like a 9.25 I would have gone for a 3x or a 4x but not bigger.

Also does the camera/web cam you are using have an IR filter still in it or was that removed?
Have read a few times that blocking the IR from Mars is a good move.

The camera doesn't have but I have an ir cut filter screwed on the nosepiece.

I agree with Ronin.  With those cameras anything over 4x is really unnecessary.  I'm not even sure you really need more than 3x.
