Maxim upgrades - worth doing?

A question for those who are up to date...

I'm currently running Maxim 5.15 as my subscription ran out in 2009!  I was wondering whether it was worth paying for an upgrade to the latest version?  So any advice from those of you on the latest version would be welcomed.  Also, if they bring out v6 would a subscription include that major upgrade?  the price tag of $160 for a year is high, so value money is a major consideration

Subscriptions usually include updates to your major version. New majors would be an additional purchase in my experience Helen
