Dec bolts will defo be going although it will be pier mounted so shouldn't be too bad as once set it's not moving. It doesn't have a polar scope so I may borrow the heq5 one to get pa.

Just do a PA from a star - I'm 000.00.00 and 00.00.27 - can't use my polar scope - obstructed

Do a three star alignment then go back into alignment and ask for a polar alignment (you need handbox 3.35 versio for this )

it will take you to the nearest bright star and align itself then ask you to bring the star back to the middle using the base to adjust rather than the hand box.

Use something like alignmaster (it's only €14) and it will correct your PA utilising stars. Also the Skywatcher handset has a similar polar align correction routine built in in V3.35

I use EQ Align with QHY5 as a camera in my scope

Ah I see I would have to make up a cable and use my heq5 handset to this then. I'm not planning on using a handset with this mount as it will be obsy based. I'll see how the syntrek handset I've ordered arrives, if the cable can be removed then I will plug that in to the heq5 handset and run the routine then.

Disc brake should arrive this week so i can get the mount in the obs with a bit of luck before we go away
