iss and bright iridium flare, 21:49hrs tonight

21.49hrs iss will rise in west tonight and during pass at 21.50 hrs at 48degree elevatoon in ENE direction there is a bright iridium flare at mag -5.9 .

get outside now if you can !

I saw the ISS as I was leaving our local co-op, I pointed up to show my wife and a passing lady asked what it was.........she seemed fairly impressed when I explained

Ha, iridium flare -8.5 in my neck o the woods tonight almost straight after ISS passed over clear and bright.

I saw the ISS & tried to capture it with my web cam (dont think I suceeded though) & missed the iridium flare (too busy trying to get my DSLR to take with my remote app)

nice one, we have a -8.5 due on friday at about the same time but knowing my luck it will be cloudy !

Good catch though with iss and a flare at the same time.
