Can't switch to video

Hi all,

I have recently bought a Canon 600D. It is my first DSLR so am still learning. I have attached a T-ring and eye piece adapter which fits into the focus adjuster or Barlow. Taking stills is fine but it will not let me switch to video, it just says make sure lens is attached and switch to live mode (or something like that)

Am I missing something?

Cheers

Brian

Yes, in video mode first press lifts the mirror so you enter live view mode, second press starts video recording. Press again to stop. A red light should flash during record on the screen. You can ignore the no lens message.
