New Celestron Nexstar Evolution Telescopes

Recommended Posts

i find it somewhat interesting that there hasn't been more posted on any of the forums on these new scopes.

i was really hoping to see everyones setups and/or images they were able to get out of them.

i wonder if they are selling well?

They have only just begun arriving here in the UK

Stocks are very low (we have sold out of the 9.25" model) but another delivery which includes all three models is due to land in a week or two.

I am sure if we allow another week or so for Celestron to deliver more telescopes, and for new owners to start using them, we'll see some reports here at SGL

Cloudy Nights has a very comprehensive thread running concerning NexStar Evolution SCTs with lots of first light reports. Of course the first light reports in the UK will be forthcoming as dealers make deliveries on these SCTs. Like most of you posting and lurking hereabouts, I am very excited regarding the possibilities afforded by Wi-Fi control of my Evo 8. I feel that we, as NexStar Evolution owners,  are somewhat like the Beta group ushering in a new era in Backyard Astronomy. Very exciting stuff. I am happy to be a part of it.

Clear skies and of course, "Keep looking up

Bill

Sounds good to me,

cant rely on other forums can we :) :)

Actully what has really happened is that of those delivered here in the UK so far the owners are so awestruck and gobsmacked they have not yet found the words to do justice

That's what we are really meaning, is it not :) lol :) !!

I await, my breath is bated :)
