1st Observation/Image

Who is sat here typing with a big grin on his face    I AM

got my scope 2/3 weeks ago and this is the first time out with it, seeing conditions were not ideal, lots of thin wispy cloud followed by more cloud but I could just not wait any longer so out the mount came followed by the scope, set it up best I could (pretty sure it could be done better)

Pointed it towards the moon and well what can I say....Amazed, Cannot wait  now for clear skies,

I was determined to get a record of my 1st viewing so went and grabbed the camera and managed to grab this picture, not the best I know, and I have a long way to go and a lot to learn but I'm chuffed with it,

I also intend to keep a rolling record of images of my progression,
