FIrst try at solar imaging.

Yesterday, I made solar filter with white light solar film from Thousand Oaks Optical.

And today, to my suprise, there was a period of no clouds. So I took the opportunity to test it. 

Here are the results, these are three separate frames with different post-processing.

Great images! Really lovely. I'm thinking about getting some solar film myself, to try and make up for all the nights I can't get out to image!

Thankyou . Go for it, making the filter is quite easy, there are lots of tutorials on YouTube.Including my own that's not very good .
