decent finderscope or better mount

I'm finding the supplied 9 x 50 very annoying and inaccurate and I'm constantly having to adjust it

from what I can see the scope is Ok but the mount is Rubbish, plus I was toying with the idea of converting the finder to accept

my ASI camera and use it for tracking, with the current problems with it I think its out of the question

would I be better upgrading the mount to a two ring arrangement or upgrade the full lot ??
my only concern is putting more load on my already over extended EQ5

I have a Celetsron 9 X 50 and have attached a Lodestar, set it up firstly with the eye piece so it matched the main EP, then swapped it eyepiece for a Lodestar plus a Adapter, well all evening it performed faultlessly, and slewing to dim DSO's and extending the time to 5 seconds while not guiding gave a nice image of the DSO, M102 being one of them, the mount system is the  normal rubber ring at the front and 3 prong at the back 2 being adjustable...as for the load i think it should handle it if its balanced and the PA is good....

Ahh Ok so thats what that rubber ring is for

typical, blaming the equipment when in fact its operator error

lets see if that solves my issues

Handy if the ring is in the groove and pushed into the front ring....

I lubricated my 'O' Ring with a little washing liquid, as its a tight fit? There's  no play  or inaccuracy  with my  finder scope.

Took me 2 reads to realize that you were talking about the finder mount and not the EQ5, I was about to make you a stupidly low offer for the finder scope.  Doh.....

As per the others, make sure you push it home.
