My mate lives in neath so not too far away from the beacons and he is due a visit soon.

I thought about Cray Reservoir while looking on Google Earth awhile back, and noticed a short dead end road parallel to the main road near the lake. The disused road looked like it might be a good place to set up, as there are a few trees to block oncoming headlights. To your knowledge, would this a good spot to observe from ?
