PD1 astrocam power source

Hi all. My PD1 has arrived but disapointed there is no cable to run off powerpack. Rather than rush out and buy one, I just wondered if there was anything I needed to be aware of before I do.

Nah man any 12v 2.1mm plug will do the job just fine

Is that tip positive or does that not matter?

im not positive on that camera ,,im shure its marked on camera,,,i got my pd1 a wee while ago and it came with power adapter on the camera and it also came with a 240 to 12v dc transformer....must have changed what he now sells...its a great camera you wont be disappointed..davy

Got a resultt. My power pack came with a plug into mains chargdr and also an in car chargdr using cigarette lighter. Its perfect and now problem solved. Thanks for the help

by the way, a "USB 5V to 12V Step-Up" adapter works fine on my EEEPC netbook, I know it's a bit over USB specs, but I even used one of those USB soldering irons on the EEEPC...
