Detailed map of Delamere please

Hi,

I seen a few threads that mention Delamere as being a good dark sky sight and it's within reasonable driving distance of where I live

Where exactly do you park up to find the best site and other astronomers?

Can you park and set up adjacent to your car or do you need to walk / carry the equipment?

A detailed map would be ideal if someone had one.

Hi I live in Delamere and I would not consider it a dark sky site. Obviously it is not like an urban location but you do get sky glow from both Manchester and Liverpool. It is also a fairly busy air lane so aircraft trails can be an issue.

I do spectroscopy now so the sky brightness and aircraft are less of an issue.

Having said that it is a very nice area and could be OK for your observations.
