What nails for Shiplap fixing to Studwork?

Morning All,

I know I have seen something in this forum about it but unfortunately I am super busy at work trying to control MOD finances (yes - it is a hard task!).

What kind of nails would you use to fix shiplap to 38mm x 63mm studwork?

I am pretty sure I should use 50mm annular ring shank nails?

I used the same as Chris   SS is important as galvanised (zinc plated) cause water marks.

I used annular ring shank but went all posh and got stainless steel. I think it was a Kilo of these for a 9' x 6' shed:  http://www.tradefixdirect.com/a2/304-stainless-steel-annular-ring-nails-40-x-2.65mm   and that was only just enough!

Yes, I would definitely recommend stainless steel nails / pins.

The "value" tool shed I bought uses cheap nails. I hasn't even been there for a year and there are already ugly black stains under each nail from all this rain we've had. Looks a bit like it's bleeding black blood.

I've used that supplier several times, and found them to be very good, as well as competitive on price - they'd get my recommendation.

Same here. I got all my screws for the obsy from them and a lot of the metal brackets and angles. Excellent prices and almost everything was delivered next day.
