M42 and Running Man

I took this image a few nights ago....first deep sky picture I've taken for ages!

 

I used a Canon 1100d on a Skywatcher ED80, guided with QHY5 on the finderscope. 

11 light frames of 90 seconds, 5 darks, stacked in DSS, processed in Photoshop CS2.

very nicely done, the running man nebula is also showing very clearly.

Nice shot plenty of detail in the outer regions could be worth layering with some shorter exposures to show the trapezium region, nice colour  is the camera modded

Its an unmodded camera. I did layer in a 20 second exposure for the trapezium.....I found getting the colour matched between the two layers very hard .......I still have much to learn about Photoshop though!! Lol
