Astro Imp
As I was feeling unwell I wasn't out last night but about 8.00 pmish we had a power cut. This was too good an opportunity to miss so rushed out with the bins intending to have a look at all the old favourites. Very disappointed the high mist was so bad that I struggled to make out the belt stars in Orion naked eye. Had a quick scan around but the seeing/transparency was so poor I gave up.I thought that this was a once a year chance to take advantage of a good sky free of light pollution and was beaten by the good old UK weather

JamesF
We had a "yellow fog" warning last night. I have no idea if that's better or worse than "yellow snow".James
