I have finally persuaded my Dad to buy a telescope. We collectively decided on buying the special offer on FLO which was the Celestron Astromaster 130 which was part of the Stargazing Live series. We chose that telescope on two reasons really, one is that it is a really good performer while also being portable. So my Dad has his own telescope instead of coming round mine late at night, the telescope is going to be used for us both to go to a dark site.

Yeh it is, that was the main reason I haven't travelled to a dark site because I didn't fancy going on my own.
