Pretty silly idea really , but the sky was clear so it had to be tried ...

Well done on the result under testing conditions Hope you took precautions (parachute, springs on your shoes, etc.)

The weather was a bit annoying our way, met office said clear all day but we must have been on the edge of it. Of course, as soon as the Sun was below the rooftops, we finally got a decent bit of clear!

H-a I think was okay but the one white light shot I managed is looking like it might go belly up!

Hope everyone gets a bit of clear over the weekend!

Ah the things the dedicated solar astronomer will go to get the picture. Exceptionally good for a stack of 4! I guess the wedge is getting a thumbs up?

Safe as houses  ,  honest ... 

Still trying various combinations of filters and cameras/camera settings as I'm not totally happy yet to be honest ... 

Decent day forecast for tomorrow so more experimenting to come .
