My 2yr old daughter got up at 4 this morning and got into our bed.. so I thought I'd get up and have a quick look out the window.. wow: :stars:

Went out and set up.. been reading a lot on this forum re setting up, and finally got my goto to near enuff goto all the objects it was supposed to. Sorted the bubble to get it level, got my findersope on polaris, did a two star and one calib star, then saturn - perfect hit . Am well chuffed.

Not looked at any clusters yet, so tried the kite cluster - didnt find it (maybe too dim?), went to the double cluster - wow.. never seen this before, but what a sight.. so many stars, got the LPI out and tried to image it, but was too big for the chip (tried the reducer - no difference - but thats another story).

Back to saturn for some imaging as I got the laptop and camera out.. got my best shots so far.

Around 6.30 this morning facing north, saw the brightest and fastest shooting star I've ever seen... went about the length of my hand when held out to the sky and lasted for less than a second.. super quick.. but really bright!

Been sat processing my images, since I came in.. now gotta go get the family up to have breakfast and go hit Ikea :D

Proper chuffed with this mornings viewing...
