just a heads up for this event:

Description: STFC’s public roadshow, “Seeing the Universe In all its Light” (aka Big Telescopes), is a showcase for both ground and spacedbased astronomy based focusing on the UK science expertise and economic benefits. This stunning exhibition is structured around scale models of the world class telescopes - the Very Large Telescope and the Atacama Large Millimeter Array antenna, both at the European Southern Observatory and will include interactive exhibits and websites, inspiring imagery and factual examples of the wider societal impact of astronomy. There will also be bright young scientists on hand to answer your questions on any aspects of astronomy.

It opens to the public Saturday 23 November and runs until 28 November 2013 with family days this weekend and public talks during the week.
