Ascom and Windows 8 Problem

I have just put a new pc in my Observatory and I can't connect my EQ6 to the pc.

The mount comes up as connected to com5 but i have a yellow sign error on the port and no connection.

I updated and made sure that framwk 4 etc is installed.

I installed Ascom SP3.

I have people coming this evening for some stargazing and nothing is working, lol

I had a ton of problems initially with windows 8 then running the windows 7 compatability option under the device preferences sorted it then clearing the eqmod/ ascom registry in the ascom tool box will solve all the trouble,I spent last Christmas day a the next 4 days after that trying to get this fixed the someone replyed to my post with these fixes and bang 5 mins was all connected and working:)

Have you got the right USB/serial driver loaded

Yellow exclamation points are driver issues. I'd say you just get the proper driver and things will come together nicely!
