First (2) attempts at photographing galaxies

So, i popped over to Teggs Nose near Macclesfield last night. Oh man WHAT a difference in sky darkness compared to dysmal polluted Manchester.

Both shots comprise 15 30 second subs. Next time I'll try for 2 to 3 minute subs as the darkness will probably allow for it. Still getting the hang of this astrophotography malakey... (can't wait for my coma corrector to arrive) and moreso, trying to process the pics lol which I'm really struggling with.

Great shots, im just starting out also and attempting M31 from my light polluted home in Nottingham. What scope/set up are you using?

Orion Optics GX250 (10" f4.8) on a Vixen GP plus syscan and a HP2133 running stellarium. Camera is an as yet unmodified EOS 1100D
