Eq8 polarscope

Just a quick couple of questions has anyone brought the polar scope with there eq8 and if so how useful/ accurate has it been. When I eventually get the pennies for an eq8 I will probably just learn to drift align but wondered if this was a useful extra

The handset polar routine is fine. Just give it a couple of iterations.

I had to re-do my PA as I stuck a 5" extension on the pier to get a bit more height. If the clouds ever bog off I'm going to check it with Alignmaster and see how it compares. Though, to be fair, I had no problems with the standard Synscan routine.

Hi- I thought it was well built but flawed as no illumination and you have to align it - the handset routine is far better- Tony
