Revelation 15x70 or celestron 15x70

My sister got the Revelation 15x70 and is really happy with them.  I went with her to get them from Telescope House and was impressed with them.  They where nice and light and gave a nice clear image (in the day admittedly).

I own some Bushnell 10x40 and the revelations where so much lighter and could be held up for much longer before shake occurred which is important if you plan on using hand held.

I haven't used the Celestrons but I have considered getting a set of the Revelations for my self.

I think they are essentially the same. Both are made in the same factory (United Optics BA-1 type). They may differ a bit in the quality of the coatings, but otherwise they should be roughly the same. Do check collimation when they arrive! I ordered a pair of Celestrons and when they arrived they were out of collimation. I got a pair of Omegons because the store was out of Celestrons (Omegons were the same under different badge) and those were OK (until the EP bridge broke years later). Build quality varies, but they can provide hours of fun for a modest price.

I actually find my heavier Helios Apollo 15x70 HD easier to hold still. 15x is not easy for most, and a monopod with ball-head and trigger grip is probably a good solution for mounting them

I think the correct comparison would be between the Revelation and the older Celestron Skymaster 15x70s. The newer Cavalry 15x70 (as per link) are supposed to be better - but that said, I have not seen a definitive test report on them yet.
