EQASCOM pulse guide setting

Another feature in EQMOD relating to pulse guiding that I've found really useful is the Pulse Guide Monitor, which has additional controls to allow you to control the duration of the corrections issued by your autoguiding software as a % of the original value.  Refer to the excellent manual for details:  http://eq-mod.sourceforge.net/docs/EQASCOM_Guiding.pdf

Re-reading this thread, and apologies to raking up again, but I am seeing 2 different sets of answers....

Is it:

0.25 x sidereal = 15 * 0.25 = 3.75 arcsecs/sec

or

0.25 x sidereal + sidereal = 15 * 0.25 + 15 = 18.75 arcsecs/sec

The manual says 'The Pulse Guide Rate can be set between x0.1 to x0.9 of the nominal tracking rate'
which I read to be the first option above. I have always assumed this.
Chris' post #15 suggests it is the 2nd option however!

Apologies (especially to Sara) if I am confusing the issue again!

Is it likely that, in order to follow a star that's deviated a bit in RA, you switch from westward 15 arcsec/sec to 3.75 arcsec/sec (or even 3.75 arcsec/sec eastward)? No! You switch either to 18.75 arcsec/sec (go west faster) or 11.25 arcsec/sec (go west slower)
