Widefield options for a 200P dob

Sorry if I've confused things by dropping in the Maxvisions, but they're quality gear and likely not to ever need upgrading.

I can't vouch for the 38mm PanaView, but thoroughly enjoy using my 32mm. It's x38 magnification and nearly 1.9o tfov. It is a little soft around the edges, but that doesn't bother me.

Cheers

...... I guess the advice is to avoid the budget 2" eyepieces for the moment.

This hobby is a minefield.

Budget 2" wide field eyepieces and fast scopes are not usually a great combination but they can do well in slow scopes such as F/10 schmidt-cassegrains and refractors. I was using a simple, cheap wide field in an F/8 newtonian the other evening and it was pretty much sharp to the edge. Popped it in an F/5.3 and the stars in the outer 3rd of the field dissolved into seagulls with a sort of swirling look around the optical axis rather like water going down a plug hole. Not nice !
