Cheers guys! I need to try this prosessing thing! what software do you use to change the contrast, gamma and saturation?

And Marcus i fully blame you for the white canvas! Seems to do that when you save as a PNG for some reason :)

I use Ulead software to capture then play the avi file back in windows media player and hit printscreen :)

Gstar-Ex4 software is probably the easiest to use for brightness, contrast, saturation, gamma, sharpness, Hue, etc, and it's free.

Cheers Chris :)

And thanks Ken i have used Gstar but found it kept freezing on my netbook (seems everything does) so i just went back to Ulead as it seems very stable and easy to use. I was playing around with it last night and i dont know how i missed it before but it has some of they settings that can be changed on the fly. The only one missing is gamma i think. :)

Hey guys had some fun out last night with the scope. Managed to sort the issue i had with the camera producing horrible images at x512. I just had to lower the noise reduction :) (thanks Paul) Its a bit more grainy now but it copes with x512 much better and settles down much faster.

Here are a few pics from last night. Most are objects ive already visited in this thread so im sorry about that but i only have limited sky to look at :)

C27, C30, C4, M15, M27, M57 used Ulead software for on the fly changes to brightness etc.

(Hope there is no dodgy white canvas this time lol)

Thanks Ken. After lowering the noise reduction the sammy settles down much much faster and is much more enjoyable to use :)

I think before when i had the issue with x512 it was a combination of taking to long to settle down and using an alt az mount. So by the time it had settled down the image had moved causing horrible images and never settling down fully as the image was moving.
