Another wide-field Milky Way shot

Another shot from a couple of days ago. 

D7000 Sigma 17-50mm @17mm

ISO 4000

F2.8

30 sec exposure

Corrected colours and did some work in curves with PS CS6

Not 100% happy with it. I think that although there are not many buildings here there is a lot of light pollution due to the fact that all the facilities point their lighting horizontally for wide area coverage rather than down.

It was shot in the middle of the desert in Oman. I live and work in the interior oil fields.
