My DIY eye piece case

I found some huge chunky cases available to buy on the net, none of them seemed worth it to me so I set about making my own, one that could easily be tailored upon the purchase of future EPs and yet small and light enough to carry around, here's the results:

Sealed lid case = £2.99

Foam = £4.99

can also slide in Hand Warmers between the sheets of foam to keep the EPs free from frost and dew, foam is easily cutable as said above to accommodate future purchases.

Love it! Like you said, room to grow, but space enough for handwarmers? Wish we'd thought of that. We used an old Coleman grill case and cut up a mattress pad for foam.

If you have a Dunelm shop/outlet pop in there. I got a large sheet of foam from there for under a tenner. They sell it in various thickness sheets for upholstery projects, I've lined out an Aluminium case I found at work and fitted my eyepieces in.

Actually a pretty good idea.... seems like it'd do the job as well as anything else, and honestly the ones I've seen strike me as pretty overpriced.
