October 1, 2013: Another Solar Lunch

Recommended Posts

Just had a peek at the sun in H-alpha. Like yesterday, a set of filaments can be seen across the disk. To the north a fairly flat arcing prom could be seen, westward another set of proms showed. On the southern hemisphere more-or-less centrally placed a large AR was visible, showing dark centres of sunspots surrounded by bright structures. Lower near the eastern limb another filamentous whirl was visible.

Not as active as I have seen but still a lot going on.
