FinderCam Mk.II

Somehow, I'd collected TWO Skywatcher-type "straight-through" 9x50 finder-scopes. :p

With a little "help from a friend" (Lathe owner!) re. slightly turned-down 2" - 1.25" adapter,

and a few other cannibalised bits and bobs:

Again, the cam is the (relatively budget) £60, 0.003 lux, 400TVL, ExView, B&W thing...

Plus a spare nose-piece (the chrome bit) donated by a "free" skywatcher eyepiece,

A bit of minor file-work and a dab of Araldite at the corners...   ;)

For a change, a Daytime (Pre-Dawn - Aaaargh!) shot:

I estimate the (chip diagonal 6mm) field to be about TWO degrees (f=150mm, at F3)

The automatic shutter / AGC fortuitously copes with Daylight to Mag +8 or so...

There are one or two HOT Pixels (Mag +7 "stars") but acceptable for "FinderCam"?

You can happily "Synch" EQMod on an endless supply of Mag +4 stars or brighter!  :)
