First Go at The Moon with a DSLR Camera

Finally got a chance at getting the gear out last night along with the camera, and manage to get a reasonable single image of "The Moon",  first go at this target with a DSLR, brought a small smile to my face..

You should have a big grin!!!  Well focussed and good exposure. (Try taking a few frames and stacking them if you can - you'll be amazed at the difference it makes!)

I agree with Roger.  A very good effort, and stacking multiple frames should allow you to pull even more out of the image

That is great for a single image. Blows my single captures away!

Stack a few of those as suggested and I think the result will be exceptional.

A Thank you to you guys for the kind comments, stacking is on the cards next time the moon is around but spent to much time on M57 and had to call it a night before work today, so only had time for a quick "snapshot"...

But "Next Time", hopefully a full one and a clear night...
