SSF files - firmware updates

I am trying to update my firmware in my az-eq6  and it comes to me from Skywatcher as a .ssf file.

I click on it and it doesn't open.  Does anyone know how to open/run/manage these type of files??

You need to download the update software first, and then download the ssf file and save them both to a specific folder so you can locate them.  The open the firmware updating software, and then also right click on the ssf file and go to extract all, then find the extracted file in the downloading software by clicking browse, and it will start

To the upload the firmware to the handset you need to download the firmware uploader program from the Skywatcher website. Extract al the files to the desktop, connect the handset to your computer and then pressing 0 & 8 on the handset's keypad connect the handset to a suitable psu, .This will put the handset in firmware update mode. Run the firmware update program and navigate to the location of the firmware folder as described in the user manual.
