PixInsight Courses - Anyone attended one ?

Hi All,

Has anyone attended one of these 180EUR PixInsight courses ? Would they recommend it ? They sound good, although expensive.

I've reached the stage now that the technical side of my imaging seems to work well in terms of equipment, setup, polar alignment and guided image capture.

I'm really hitting a wall though with processing and find myself endlessly trying new combinations of things in PixInsight and photoshop until I finally hit upon images that seem acceptable.

I guess I'm hoping that this course would teach me the principals behind what I'm doing, rather than the current stochastic approach I take : )

Anyone got any info on these courses ?

Strange you should mention this - I got an email this morning telling of a course in Munich, run no less by Juan, the guy who had developed the software. Now that would be interesting if you fancy a trip to Munich!

Me , Nigel ball and Ian king are hoping to arrange a workshop in the UK in the future , not advanced stuff but up to intermediate stuff

If you are planning on doing something like that in the UK Harry, then count me in.

I'd imagine it would be popular and certainly more convenient than flying to Munich.

I wish I could but between my work having inflexible holidays (I'm a teacher) and Gibraltar being so small that I would always need to travel abroad for one, it's not looking like I'll ever be able to.
