Not a happy bunny.

After much toil and tribulation over several nights not to mention freezing my unmentionables (I didn't mean to mention them) this is the latest result with the 250mm Europa, 4 x Image Amplifier, ATIK Camera and IR Filter.

Just can't nail a good image. Drat and double drat!

I know how you feel. You could be getting unlucky with the seeing. Collimation and focus checked and double-checked?

Check the collimation as often as I can but can't do it every night. Should be fairly close, though.

Focuser is a bit rubbish and hope to fit a Crayford in the New Year.

Lots of condensation the last two nights, and seeing not probably as good as it appears.

I find that a good test is trying to resolve the stars in the Trapezium in Orion. Night 1 - Fairly easy, next two nights - not as good.

Onwards and upwards.

With the f/5, checking collimation every night and more than once will yield results, I am pretty sure.
