More Eagle, Swan and Astro Don!

I only managed just over an hour more Ha last night before we got clouded. (How??? There hasn't been a cloud all week!) But this takes the Ha from the new 3Nm Astrodon to just over just under 3 hours at F5. It is one almighty filter. I had to layer the Swan in order to bring down the brightness massively, yet even so it is very bright.

I added the final Ha to the existing HaRGB and then did some more star reduction to favour the nebulae. This is always a compromise, making small format versions of the image look better but not holding up to close inspection since the stars are clearly messed around with seen too close.

Excellent :)

I'm considering getting the 3nm Astrodon Ha filter though I already have the 5nm one - just wondering if it's worth it. The 3nm certainly seems excellent but OTOH the 5nm I find pretty good. It really needs a side by side test with the same equipment and conditions - not practical really.
