Premium Cheshire Collimating Eyepiece

Recommended Posts

I have just purchased the Premium Cheshire Collimating Eyepiece from FLO and would like to check I understand how to use it properly.

When testing primary mirror alignment, I am assuming that if I align the wire cross-hairs in the sight tube with the grooved cross on the target face (i.e. the 45 degree target) this will indicate that my eye is exactly centred ? (I haven't seen a cheshire with this grooved cross before).

Obviously, if all is well the mirror centre spot will be at this point as well

Is my thinking correct on this?
