Need Some Help Choosing Binoculars

This might be beyond the scope of the forum but I thought I'd ask anyway!

It's my dad's birthday is coming up soon and we were thinking of getting him a pair of binoculars for using during the daytime for looking at scenery when out and about. Not knowing anything about binoculars I was hoping there might be some helpful folks that could steer me in the right direction. As for budget, was hoping not to spend more than £100.

Helios Naturesport-Plus 10x50 or 7x50.

I have a pair of the former and they give a lovely bright widefield view in the daytime with a nice short minimum focal length.

At night they are brilliant for handheld use.

Just got feedback from dad and he was amazed by the quality of the binos (Helios Naturesport 10x50).

Thing is, he's really looking for something smaller and ligher, possibly pocket size.

Any suggestions?
