Skywatcher BK1309-EQ2

Hi,

I have just received my Skywatcher. I havent unpacked it yet but I bought it as an Explorer 130P

The box says BK1309-Eq2.

Is this the correct model or should I send it back?

is there anything else on the box? Typically the 130P has 130650 as the number. This looks like the 900mm version. Ask your dealer.

I had the same confusion when I got min EXplorer 130P, it was though a BK13065 EQ2 on box. Later on, I understand that says the scope is 130mm in diameter, and focal length 650mm by that BK13065.

Mine hade two eyepieces included MA25mm and MA10mm.

If you had ordered a 130explorer with 900mm focal length, then it should be correct. As I understand it, your package should have a 2x barlow too, in addition to those two eyepieces I got.

If you've bought an Explorer 130P the outside delivery box should have the part code 10712 on it. If you've got 10922 then that's the Explorer 130 and if you have 10713 that's the Explorer 130M

Guess its an Explorer 130m... I was really trying to get my hands on a 130P.

Would you recommend sending it back and getting a 130P? - As far as I could read, the parabolic mirror and the 650mm really makes a difference...
