software that allows me to fly the universe?

i'm looking for some software that allows me to fly around the universe rather than that which just emulates a scope from my garden.

any ideas?

That is something i was looking for myself,,cant download it as i'm in work so i will download it on my laptop when i get home

this is an excellent program which really gives an unusual (accurate) perspective of where we are (and how away everything else is)

I played about with Celestia a few years ago. Great piece of software and no doubt it will have improved in the intervening years.

Another excellent free program you might be interested in Orbiter, though this is a spaceflight simulation program rather than a 3D planetarium.
