Ewan
Hi Nightfisher, i have not used it for jpeg's but avi's - yes.Load the Avi, select Planetary (bottom middle) if needed, I dont change any input options, Processing Options - Tick Reject frames without object & then Centre object In each frame, Quality Options - Tick Enable Quality Estimation i normally use between 20-40% of total frames of avi here) Leave Reordering Of Frames Ticked, Output Of Avi- i leave as default values, Click Start Processing.Hope this helps you.If you get stuck drop me a line. cgarry
Hi Jules,What type of images are you processing? For solar/lunar images (RAW or JPEG), this post by JamesF goes into great detail about using PIPP:http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/184192-full-disc-lunar-imaging-with-a-dslr/Note that the current version of PIPP (v2.2.12) has some trouble with daytime moon images, but this has been fixed in v2.2.13 with should be released in the next few days. For planetary imaging (AVI), this example covers basic centring and cropping (plus debayering but you can always ignore this bit):http://sites.google.com/site/astropipp/example-uasge/example1BNote that the centring function only works when imaging the complete disc as PIPP uses all the edges of the object to centre it. It cannot do any centring for close ups of the moon or sun for example.I hope this helps,Chris
