is this a good scope for £220 dont think it comes with mount im getting a new telescope i have a skywatcher f=150 d=750 had it for about 2 years looking to upgrade i have about £350 to £400 anyone no of some good scope in that price range

The same scope but a few quid cheaper and yes the 200p is a fine scope its not a huge upgrade on the one you have but this one is

to be honest suggesting scopes on price alone isnt a good idea how do you plan to use it, where, how will you transport it these are all the things we need to know to make good suggestions

i live on the isle of wight nice and dark in most places love looking at the planets but not a lot of detail with my scope a deep sky objects are just a blur and i find my self overwhelmed i love it i want to look at everything in the night sky if i had the money i would buy something like the discovery channel telescope haha but im poor and have to make do with what i can like most people i wonted to get this one but dont ship to the uk

i really don't think you can get bigger than the 10" for your budget but under dark skies a lot more stuff should pop optics wise they are as good as you will get for the price If you have a car you should be able to get it in the back if I wanted bigger than a 6" I would skip the 8 and go for the 10" to get significantly better views after the 10 inch the price goes up a lot

That's sensible - from 6 to 8" is not much of an upgrade - rowan46 is a good suggestion. You have plenty of time to save a bit more as the dark skies are not back just yet!
