Photoshop query

I have both CS2 & Elements 4. I believe there is a way of reducing Vignetting on Photoshop, Does anyoone know it?

Filter, Distort, Lens Correction, about half way down in mine.

I've never found that it works well though.

The best way to deal with vignetting is to take some flats but failing this the next best thing is Russ Croman's Gradient Exterminator which has a free trial period and then costs about £20. Does a fantastic job of cleaning up the background. I use it routinely. http://www.rc-astro.com/resources/GradientXTerminator/index.html

There is a gradient removal tool on photoshop in the tools palette. It works ok with a bit of practice but useless alongside gradient exterminator

Russ Cromans software look a very useful tool. When downloading it does it tell Duffers like me how to add it to the Photoshop software or is it automatic.
