Lunt LS35 and Baader Hyperion zoom.

I've been thinking about obtaining a Lunt LS35 but I'd like to check a few options first.

Will a hyperion zoom EP reach focus in the LS35? I know it didn't have the back focus in earlier models and I'm sure Lunt shortened the tube to fix this issue in later models.

Can any LS35 owners confirm this please?

It works great on the LS60 but don't know about the LS35. You could always ring Ian King (or Nick at Altair) and they'd be able to confirm for you.

Sorry to perform thread necromancy, but out of curiosity, did you ever get an answer to this?

There shouldn't really be a problem here. I have a MEADE 24-8mm zoom and until recently had a TeleVue zoom of the same spec. Both zooms worked perfectly okay on a 60mm/f.6 'scope with a LUNT LS50F front aperture etalon.

I've got a Lunt 35 from 2011, it does come to focus with the Baader Hyperion Zoom.

Hi Andy, as Oskar says they reach focus fine. I've got an LS35 now and it works well with the zoom EP.

My initial confusion was down to the fact that the early models of the LS35 were reported to have a slightly different tube length and couldn't reach focus with the Baader.
