variable extenders

Hi, can anyone help, I want to take photos of planets with my dslr camera attached to my telescope and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the variable extender?

welcome to sgl sorry I can't help with the variable extender I don't know it. But for planetary photography webcams are the way to go. Take an avi using a capture program and then stack them using a free program called registax it will give much better pics than a dslr on planets.

hi steve .I have one it can take an eyepiece ect...to be honest only tried it a few times i preferred the fixed adaptor I have two different size lengths just a lot less hassel in my opinion .....davy
