Telrad position

Is there a preferred position to fix a telrad onto a sw200p thanks in advance

I have mine set back between the focuser and the viewfinder but it is really a matter of where you find it easiest to use. The best idea is to fix it with cable ties (either very long ones or a few shorter ones joined together) or masking tape until you find where you want it to finally live. I did this a year ago and it is still held in that way although I have never moved it.

I took my finderscope off completely including the shoe because I couldn't get on with it. I drilled a couple of holes in the Telrad base & mounted it in place & I've never looked back since.

Thanks will give that a try do you use star charts with these don't really know anything about them impulse buy at the astro show :-)
