A quick question, would people recommend the Rigel QuikFinder with or without the AA battery holder?

I use mine without and the batteries seem to last ages ie: a number of months, possibly even a year, depending on how much usage.

Not needed in my opinion.

why oh why did they put the adjuster knobs on the same side as the on off switch, I've lost count of how many times I've now turned it on using the lower adjuster knob and put it out of alignment, needs a redesign with knobs you can push in out of the way when not needed.

Works perfectly well if you're not hamfisted

Not only do the button batteries last ages, but they have them in Poundland, a card with 4x2032 and 4 others. Can't remember how much they cost, but it wasn't much

I have two of them, both with the button cells and they do last ages.

Just get the button cell version. It will last until you forget to turn it off.
