bomberbaz
What is wonderful, invited round to neighbours last night, clear skies, few beers, so only a matter of time b4 the telescope came into conversation. WHAT can you see I was asked by Fran? (totally naive lady mid 40's), similar question by Mark, same age range. What they did not expect was seeing Saturn and its rings in the EP view. after the afore mentioned people had a look, husbands, children etc also had a peek and needles to say, they were all blown away. I mean "really" impressed with the view, SO had a group of people, all age ranges (13 to 50) clamouring for views of the skies. Loved it. (Nothing to do with the Jack Daniels going round )Mark who is the 50 ish part of the figures wanted to Know more and more. Google got a right battering on info such as galaxy sizes, colouration, black holes etc etc. In my element, I would say, Drunk, haha just a little tipsy, bins were out to. Fantastic night,George my direct neighbour wants a cheapish scope for car-boot. travels to France every year for his hols, looks like we have a convert................I love this hobby,

michael.h.f.wilkinson
Great story! Always nice to get other people involved. A tot or two also don't go amiss (though I prefer the occasional scotch to Jack Daniels, in deference to my McIntyre relatives)
