first ever go at this last night, couldnt stay up late as i had to be up at 5am for work, so tripod was put in the patio doorway with one door open, just enough clearance so nothing would hit, once aligned and phd running i pulled the curtains around the back of scope and left it running and went to bed.

alarm set for work and when i got up i just lifted the scope and tripod back inside.

i had nothing to loose by leaving it run, the other alternative was not to set up at all, and in a way it gives me a bit of a taster for when the obs is built, which now i'm looking forward too even more.

so the end result was 28 x 600secs and 5 x 900 secs ha (6hrs 5 mins)

first process wasnt great but 2nd go was a bit better,(need more practice with ps)

not nice a 5am start, but good use of your time and making it work for you....a great result, you must be pleased with it

Nice Image. Bit of ingenuity with the scope there. I wouldn't leave anything running unwatched here in Wales- I left a cloudless sky outside once & went indoors for cuppa, came back 20mins later and the obsy was filling with snow!
